ABOUT ME
Welcome to my Webpage. I'm not really a witch, however being able to cast spells could have come in handy growing up. I'd never have been sent to my room, been grounded, or have had to hide in the bathroom in order to not to be bothered while I read the Encyclopedia. I had a vibrant imagination and a love of summer camp, climbing trees to claim the countryside as my own (even if it was the houses, driveways and fenced yards of my neighborhood), drawing, making puns, and sneaking up behind my sister to yell "boo" and watch her jump. I still love doing those things, and have added much more to the list such as traveling, teaching art, journaling, playing sports, baking, entertaining, and learning something new everyday.
My first books were wordless picture books. Little did I know I would become a children's book illustrator. Creating images led to story telling and storytelling led to writing. In third grade I started to write poetry and have never stopped.
I have a studio in my home where I work everyday creating art or writing and sometimes escaping from my two cats who like nothing better than to sit behind me on my chair and mew until they have my full attention. I also have a supportive husband who never quite knows what I'm up to when I work, but always praises my efforts. It's no secret that I love what I do and the effort is part of my reward.
As you browse through my website, you'll find expanded "Rinnie-isms". These are things Rinnie, my main character, has invented as she helped me write my novel. It would be interesting to hear what "Rinnie-isms" you come up with, only using your name and your experiences. You will also find art work made by Rinnie or myself and some of my poems- even the ones from third grade!
Thanks for visiting. Stop by again, Rinnie's garden gate is always open.
You can visit me here (http://unframedheart.com) to see my art.
